2009 HCBL All-Stars

HCBL congratulates Nick Pontiff (OF) and Buzzy Haydel (SS) of the LSU Tigers for winning the NCAA College World Series. Pontiff played for the Menehunes in 2006 and 2007 while Haydel also played for the Menehunes in 2007.

All-Star balloting was done through voting of league coaches, HCBL personnel and local MLB Scouts.

Rosters Announced and
Practice Thursday

Team Rosters are up on the team pages.

Practice will be held Thursday June 11th at Central Oahu Regional Park. Local players should be there at 9:30am. Buses from Kalo Terrace will leave at 9:00am.

Practice attire: Shorts, t-shirt, shoes. Bring gloves and bat.

90 minute practice: Batting practice, Infield/Outfield, Light bullpen throw for pitchers if needed.

3 teams will practice and 3 teams will get uniforms. At 11:30am, teams will switch.

Buses will return to apartments at 1:30pm.

Opening day is Friday June 12th at Central Oahu Regional Park at 11:30am for all three games. Buses leave Kalo Terrace an hour and a half before game time.

Powerhouse Gym Sign-up

Powerhouse Gym is offering a temporary 7-week membership for HCBL players.

Memership is $35 with unlimited access to their facilities. It is a 2-story building and features state of the art machines and cardio equipment. Locker and shower rooms available. Link to Powerhouse Gym website here.

The gym is about a 15 minute bike ride from Kalo Terrace.
