2010 HCBL Player Placement Policy

Any prospective players interested in participating in the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League, please read the league policy below concerning player placement.

The following items will be needed for all new players seeking participation from the league:

  1. Letter of recommendation from current college coach. (Head or assistant)
  2. Latest stats from 2009 season or 2009 summer season.
  3. Optional – letter of recommendation from MLB scout.

Any players that are recovering from injury, surgeries or rehab programs would need clearance from a team physician or team trainer prior applying for a roster spot with the league.

Priority status will be given to returning players, programs that have sent players in the past and players from Division I level programs.

A player application form is required for all prospective players.

2009 HCBL All-Stars

HCBL congratulates Nick Pontiff (OF) and Buzzy Haydel (SS) of the LSU Tigers for winning the NCAA College World Series. Pontiff played for the Menehunes in 2006 and 2007 while Haydel also played for the Menehunes in 2007.

All-Star balloting was done through voting of league coaches, HCBL personnel and local MLB Scouts.
